Then she moved to the regional theater in Minnesota in which she was featured in a mock documentary film concerning beauty pageants Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). Her screen debut was a huge success, in which she played an obnoxious but friendly contestant, Janet relocated from Minnesota to Los Angeles where she began professional acting. She was married to Tony Curtis was her partner between June 1950 and September 1992. Her children included, Kelly Curtis as well as Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's film career began in late 1940s after she was accepted by MGM. The actress was found by Norma Shearer. The actress portrayed Norma in a few popular movies throughout the years, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho from 1960 and Living It Up, a Martin and Lewis film that was released in the year 1954.
